We specialize
We specialize in outdoor window coverings. Unlike companies such as Academy Window Coverings Co. or House of Window Coverings, at Rollac our focus is residential and commercial outdoor window coverings-period. Specializing in this industry has allowed us to provide our customers with greater value proposition, which means a product that is of superior quality and reasonably priced. By comparison, Academy Window Coverings Co. and House of Window Coverings do sell exterior window coverings, in addition to their inventory of interior window coverings, and fireplace accessories. Both of these companies are known as generalists. Yes, they sell a larger variety of window treatments than Rollac. However, for the last 37 years our focus has been on exterior window coverings allowing us to become a national expert in the industry.
We are exclusive
The Zipshade and Camargue are just two of several different window covering products we offer at Rollac. We are one of the few companies in the U.S. who is licensed to carry either of these unique products.
A Zipshade is a fabric window covering that moves along a channel on either side thanks to a customer zipper which is welded onto the edges of the shade fabric. This shade can be locked into place at the bottom and guarantees a fixed fabric with no wrinkles. It operates silently and electronically while blocking the window, the sun and insects.
Camargue is a European designed outdoor louvered roof. It is used to provide shading to a patio or backyard living space. The louvers are controlled remotely and offer a variety of additional features including sliding glass, fabric, or paneled doors and LED lights.
House of Window Coverings and Academy Window Coverings Co. do not carry either of these outdoor living products. As a specialist in the window covering industry, we are in a unique position to offer both of these exclusive products to our customers.
We are a local & family owned business
Rollac is a family-owned business that has been in operation for over 37 years, right here in the Houston area. We have a strong history of serving customers in Houston. We know what Houstonians like with regards to their outdoor window coverings. Customers can come into our showroom see samples of our products and discuss their needs with one of our experienced salespeople. Additionally, if a client needs us to come to repair or measure for an installation, we can fulfill that request in a timely manner.
In comparison, yes, Academy Window Coverings Co. is also a family owned business but they are located in Corpus Christi, at least a three hour drive from Houston. Comparatively, House of Window Coverings which has been in business for 12 years is located in Las Vegas. Neither of these companies can beat the face-to-face customer service and timely repairs that have made Rollac a household name in Houston.
